The Best Ideas for Kitchen Blinds

Kitchens are the hub of the home. They are the place where meals are made, families gather and parties are held. That’s why choosing the right blind for your kitchen is an important decision.

To help guide your decision, we’ve compiled a list of the best ideas for your kitchen blind:

Blinds for Different Kitchen Window Types:

Kitchens come in all shapes and sizes…and so do the windows within them. We’ve put together some window types for kitchens and what blinds may work best for them:

Patio Door Blinds for Kitchens

Patio doors are a great feature in many kitchens, and it is important to find a blind that is functional and flexible while showing off your door in the best light.

We would recommend opting for Perfect FIT blinds, Venetian blinds fitted to the wall face, Verticals or Roller blinds. Perfect FIT blinds are the sleekest option for patio doors as they sit within the rubber seal of the glazing. This means you have total control over the doors without the blinds getting in the way.

Another great option for a patio door is a Vertical blind as you can bunch the blinds to one side, making the door easily accessible to walk in and out whilst giving you total control over light. As they sit in the seal of the door, it makes it easy to open and close the doors without any hassle.

Rollers also work well. Whilst they are not fixed to the door themselves, fixing them within the recess means they look neat and tidy. However, you have less light control with a simple up or down mechanism. Additionally, Venetian blinds are used for patio doors but can be a hassle for leaving and entering a room. And because they aren’t fixed like Perfect Fit, they can become a hindrance when opening and closing the door - we’d recommend Perfect FIT if you like this style.

Standard Square Window

This window type is straight forward when it comes to blind ideas for your kitchen. You can select from our wide range of blinds…it really comes down to preference on colour/pattern options and style! For example, if you want something to complement the decor in your kitchen, then we’d suggest opting for a Day and Night blind. Day and Night blinds are a great and stylish option for allowing varying levels of privacy while also letting light into a room. Alternatively, if you want the blind to add a feature to your kitchen then a patterned Roller would be an excellent choice.

Different Colour Options for Kitchen Blinds:

Once you have decided on the type of blind you’d like to match your kitchen style, then the decision moves to colour. There really are a plethora of options when it comes to colours for your blind. We’ve outlined some of the different colours you could opt for from our blinds:
